SEBI Exploitation OF MUTUAL FUND   AGENTS SELLING SMALL AMOUNT!  Mumbai :A day after Sebi chairman U K Sinha sent a strong message to the mutual fund (MF) industry to reduce upfront commission, most members of AMFI, the fund industry trade body, agreed to cap it at 1% of the total amount that an investor invests in a scheme, effective January 1, 2016. Upfront commission is the payment that a mutual fund agent or a distributor gets from the fund house for selling an MF scheme to the investor. On Wednesday, AMFI members met in the city and decided to act on Sebi's suggestions. In the next few days, the AMFI board will take a final call on capping commissions, officials who attended the meeting told TOI. Some mutual funds pay upfront commissions of as much as 6% in some closed-ended equity funds, and between 1% and 2% in equity funds. Market regulator Sebi feared that such high upfront commission could lead to mis-selling of mutual fund products and, hence, was insistin

15 Dec 15:The Securities and Exchange Board of India (Sebi) has attached the bank accounts and mutual fund holdings of PACL and its directors as they failed to refund their investors Rs 49,100 crore as ordered by the regulator in August last year. According to a statement issued by Sebi, the recovery proceedings were initiated on 11th December against PACL and its promoters/directors namely Tarlochan Singh, Sukhdev Singh, Gurmeet Singh, Subrata Bhattacharya, Nirmal Singh Bhangoo, TygerJoginder, Gurnam Singh, Anand Gurwant Singh and Uppal Devinder Kumar. “In the said recovery proceedings Sebi has attached all bank and demat accounts and mutual funds folios of the aforesaid defaulters with immediate effect and communicated the same to all the banks, depositories and mutual fund houses. 'दिल्ली पुलिसकर्मियों के खिलाफ 12,872 शिकायतें, सिर्फ 35 FIR’ राजधानी दिल्ली में वर्ष 2014 में दिल्ली पुलिस के कर्मियों के खिलाफ कुल 12,872 शिकायतें दर्ज हुई हैं, लेकिन उनमें से महज 35 में ही प्राथमिकी हुई है और अभी तक सिर्फ नौ मामलों में आरोपपत्र दाखिल हुआ है।  अंतरराष्ट्रीय गैर सरकारी संगठन 'सीएचआरआई' की ओर से जारी श्वेतपत्र के अनुसार, कुल शिकायतों में से सिर्फ 46 मामलों में विभागीय जांच शुरू की गयी और उनमें से सिर्फ 13 में जांच पूरी हुई है। दिल्ली में अपराध का खाका नाम से जारी इस रिपोर्ट में 2014 में दर्ज शिकायतों का विश्लेषण किया गया है।  सीएचआरआई ने राजधानी के 160 पुलिस थानों से आंकडे जुटाए हैं। पुलिसकर्मियों के खिलाफ मिली ज्यादातर शिकायतें दुर्व्यवहार की हैं। उसके बाद भ्रष्टाचार और तीसरे नंबर पर यौन उत्पीड़न की शिकायतें हैं। मुंबई के एक एनजीओ, प्रजा फाउंडेशन की सहायता से तैयार इस रिपोर्ट के अनुसार, 'वर्ष 2014 में सबसे ज्यादा 74,291 मामले चोरी के दर्ज हुए हैं, उसके बाद लापरवाही से वाहन चलाने के 10,373 और सेंधमारी के 10,281 मामले दर्ज हुए हैं। इस दौरान

हर साल हजारों जानें ले रहा है वायु प्रदूषण: रिपोर्ट दिल्ली में हर साल होने वाली 10 से 30 हजार मौतों के लिए वायु प्रदूषण जिम्मेदार है और पूरे देश में होने वाली कुल मौतों का यह पांचवां बड़ा कारक है। मंगलवार को जारी की गई सेंटर फॉर साइंस एंड इन्वाइरनमेंट (सीएसई) की एक रिपोर्ट में यह बात कही गई है।  'बॉडी बर्डन 2015: भारत के स्वास्थ्य की स्थिति' शीर्षक वाली इस रिपोर्ट में कहा गया है कि जलवायु परिवर्तन लोगों को मौसम की स्थितियों में आ रहे तेज व अतिवादी बदलाव और उसकी सघनता की ओर ले जा रहा है।  रिपोर्ट में पर्यावरण और स्वास्थ्य के बीच के संपर्क की पड़ताल की गई है और कहा गया है कि पर्यावरण कारकों के चलते बहुत-सी स्वास्थ्य संबंधी परेशानियां देशभर में लोगों को पेश आ रही हैं। रिपोर्ट में वाहनों से होने वाले प्रदूषण के अलावा घरों के भीतर अंगीठी के कारण होने वाले प्रदूषण और इसके जैसे अन्य मुद्दों की भी पड़ताल की गई है।  रिपोर्ट के मुताबिक, नियंत्रण से बाहर हो चुके वायु प्रदूषण के कारण होने वाली मौतों की दर पूरे विश्व में बढ़ी है और पिछले दशक में यह 300 प्रतिशत तक बढ़ गई है। रिप

As per our information Mr S Taranikanti claimed 2 leave en-cashment from this original department and also from IRDA . A RTI Activist registered complaint to central Vigilance Commission and later CVC asked IRDA to issue IAS Sriram Taranikanti a caution letter in Oct 2014. But the IRDA vigilance officer Mr Mukesh Sharma till date never issued him such letter.
