Bombay High Court Directed Garodia ICSE School To Settle Dispute With Appointed Mediator In Student Expulsion Case

FATHER APPROACHED BOMBAY HIGH COURT FOR PROTECTION OF CHILD RIGHTS



Mumbai: PG Garodia School ICSE Board expelled the student of class 7 and issued leaving certificate as father have dispute with school administration with fees issue. On March 25 the school denied to accept fees under protest and issued LC to student . Aggrieved by the action of school the father of student Shri Arvind Tiwari approached the High Court for unconstitutional act of school which is also violation of Article 21. The father said that the action have no backing of law and school have no power to expel students in arbitrary manner. Advocate Atal Bihari Dubey appeared on behalf of petitioner and informed court that it is violation of child rights .

On 22 April 2021 the Bombay High Court appointed Sr Adv Dr Birendra Saraf as mediator to settle the dispute between parents and school administration . The report will be submitted to court during next date of hearing on 6th May 2021.

Student was expelled because father had filed complaints on non compliance of laws, rules and regulations,  alongwith the compliance to GR issued on school fees. Also the father was an Intervenor in the school fees matter on behalf of parents.The Father Arvind Tiwari is also NCP supporter and advocate by profession. In Past has filed PIL against ICSE Board schools to cancel the X and XII board examination during pandemic. He got favorable order and board exams got cancelled in March 2020.
