Delhi:RTI activist Sharad Yadav filed a petition in the Supreme Court against Sr. Adv. Dushyant Dave. Sh. Dave while arguing in Prashant Bhushan’s Contempt Petition on 5^th Aug, 2020 trenched into unconnected issues ranging from sexual harassment complaint against Ex-CJI Ranjan Gogoi to that of verdict in Ayodhaya, Rafale etc… Adv. Dave virtually went berserk to run down multiple Judges of Supreme Court which appeared, aggrandisement of  self-righteousness & a moral guardian to the conduct of Supreme Court. Wondrous of the impertinence of Sh. Dave to demolish the dignity of Supreme Court in such a cavalier manner, the undertone acquired dangerous proportion when he bluntly questioned the Hon’ble Judges as to why Justice Nariman is left out of politically sensitive cases – Has Sh. Dave been conferred with a divine commitment to be consulted of roster in assignment of cases and what connection it carried with the contempt proceedings of Sh. Prashant Bhushan!!! The noxious attitude of Sh. Dave berating judges isn’t one-off happening, his article in case of Justice Bhushan Gavai’s appointment as a quid pro quo between Ex-CJI Sh. Ranjan Gogoi and the present CJI Sh. Sharad Bobde is not too dimmed from public memory.

Unfortunate though to state, Sh. Dave displays crass double standard. Adv. Vijay Kurle was initiated of contempt proceedings by Hon’ble Justice Nariman himself, for Vijay Kurle complaining against Justice Nariman – it’s a basic philosophy of law, a person against whom complaint is preferred can’t be a judge in his own case; Senior Advocate Dushyant Dave didn’t even care to murmur a protest, though was his primary duty as a Head of Premier Lawyers Association - to protect an advocate from unjustness,  instead got worked up for Justice Nariman being not assigned politically sensitive cases, lest other Hon’ble judges are subject to his vitriol … By his conduct Sh. Dave has soiled the venerable gown of Senior Counsel and should be recalled of his senior counsel designation – lest a wrong role model gets emulated where holding the judiciary to ransom acquires premium… The Petitioner apprehends.
