Mumbai: As per High Court Order RPF Western railway taking Continuous action against the unauthorized travelling in luggage coaches by Railway Protection Force in suburban section. As a result, in 2018, a total of 32143 persons were arrested and prosecuted in the Honourable Court, where the Honourable Court punished them with a penalty of Rs.81.36 Lakhs. And in the year 2019, till May, total 12,582 persons were arrested and penalized by the Honourable Court by imposing a fine of Rs.30.27 Lakhs. Apart from this, in view of complaint, all the subordinate officers and staff have been directed for necessary action.

SR DSC provided the office order to ban travel in Luggage compartment.
The office order has been passed as per Honble High Court order in PIL. As per process Central railway to issue circular or notification to ban travel in luggage coach . It should also contains offence and penalties as per railway act. Circular is admissible in evidence act and on office order penalty imposition is unconstitutional. We request following things to implement order
1. Remove Fan and Seat from Luggage coaches of EMU.
2. Paste Warning stickers in big font size inside , outside (of coaches) and in Railway Platform.
3. Issue Circular as per due process of law with offence and penalties.
In the absence of such action we will be free to file contempt petition before honorable bombay high court and against officers name personally as contemnor.
