THANE: There are many mobile towers at Thane Municipal corporation area. As many buildings are illegal so they are not getting the final fire NOC as per Maharashtra Fire act 2006. To save the errant mobile companies from penalties the TMC fire office PIO denied the information in straight forward.
Applicant requested information that how many mobile towers has received final fire NOC in TMC zones in last 8 years. Inspite to give number PIO denied information and asked address of mobile towers as the information required is of very vast in nature.
As per few activist few officers are getting bribe to neglect irregularities as per fire act ie to seal the premises. The TMC Commissioners has also initiated drive against PIL and RTI activists who file many RTI application and file litigation at high court. In court the TMC officers are facing huge anger of judges.
