Alok Hotel Thane West Got Fire Department Notice for Non Compliance

Thane: Alok Hotel , Near Thane Station got Thane Municipal Corporation Fire Department notice for non compliance. This hotel have heavy rush in peak hours and operating since last many years. After the survey of TMC fire Department they issued non fire NOC notice to Hotel. As per complainant the hotel have not installed safety equipments as per Maharashtra fire Prevention and life safety act 2006. Fire Officer can seal the premises as per section 8 for non compliance. TMC fire department do not issue NOC to illegal structures without Occupation certificate ie OC and non commercial premises. Due to this only 44 hospitals out of 375 have fire NOC. and only 126 eating houses have fire NOC in 2017. In the other hand MCGM Fire department is lazy and KDMC issuing NOC to illegal structures against regulations of Directorate of Fire Services .

CBSE is Taking Action Against Omkar International School Dombivli and Podar International School Kalyan

Thane: CBSE informed Honorable Bombay High Court in a PIL that it is taking action against Omkar International school (CBSE) MIDC Dombivali East in 8 weeks. The contention is that the Omkar School is operating two other board schools in CBSE premises. As per CBSE affiliation norms no other board school can operate in CBSE premises. As per petitioner the 2 schools from other board ie ICSE and CIE are illegal school and it will attract penalty Rs 10000 per day. The state has not conducted investigation till date. The Podar International school is using CBSE word without affiliation and also have same issue ie other board schools in same premises. As per CBSE website affiliation has not been renewed of Omkar School since expiry.
