Mumbai:Shops In Railway Area Have Rent Rs2500 Approx Per Month-RTI

Mumbai : As per RTI information received from Central railway Mumbai division ie Mumbai CST to Kasara/Karjat there are 129 private shops in railway zone . The total rent of 129 shops are Rs 1.10cr ie Rs 2500 per month approx of each . The same private shops in private zone is rented for 15-20k from at Bhandup west. Why these railway is doing charity to these shop owner? Are they giving discount to railway passenger.

Remarks	Reply :- 1.It is seen that the information sought for is voluminous in nature and the same is not readily available in consolidated form. Moreover, as per section 7 (9) of the RTI Act, it is not obligatory on the part of the Public Authority to collate and compile such information if it would disproportionately divert the resources of the Public Authority and require additional manpower where there is already manpower shortage. However it is further, stated that efforts were made to collect the information for the last 03 years which is furnished in Sr. No. 2.  2 For last 03 years given below:- Total amount Paid Rs. 96,00,446/- Total amount unpaid Rs. 14,38,583/- 3 One year.  4 Same is enclosed.
