COBSE Has No Power To Verify Education Board Genuineness- HRD RTI Reply


COBSE IS PRIVATE ASSOCIATION OF EDUCATION BOARDS.STUDENTS TO VERIFY  EDUCATION BOARD  GENUINENESS THROUGH HRD OR STATE EDUCATION DEPARTMENT
MANY PRIVATE ORGANISATIONS ARE HAND IN THE GLOVES AND PROVIDING CERTIFICATE TO ILLEGAL UNRECOGNISED PRIVATE EDUCATION BOARD.....
The Council Of Boards of School Education in India (COBSE) has been granted responsibility to verify the genuineness of any education board or illegal board . The letter issued with reference by Ministry of HRD letter no- OM No-2-35/2011-Sch 3 dated 07.09.2012 . The dept of personal and training has issued a letter in RTI reply as enclosed. COBSE claim itself as private organisation.
RTI Question
1. Certified Copy Of Aforesaid letter issued by HRD dated 7 Sept 2012.
2. Information about power and duty of COBSE as per constitution of India .
3. Under which regulation HRD awarded duty to COBSE to verify genuineness of education board, copy of such regulation .
4. Information about Power of signing authority under which such power assigned to COBSE.

 Reply :- Council of Boards of School Education in India COBSE has not been established by Ministry of Human Resource Development. Membership of COBSE is voluntary. Moreover, membership of COBSE does not automatically grant the status of recognized Board upon any member Board. COBSE is not authorized to give recognition or verification or permission and membership to any education Board.

further it is to inform you that the Letter No. 2-35/2011-School 3 dated 07.09.2012 has been cancelled and a letter to that effect has been issued vide letter No. 2-35/2011-School 3 dated 07.09.2012 copy enclosed.

CBSE is Taking Action Against Omkar International School Dombivli and Podar International School Kalyan

Thane: CBSE informed Honorable Bombay High Court in a PIL that it is taking action against Omkar International school (CBSE) MIDC Dombivali East in 8 weeks. The contention is that the Omkar School is operating two other board schools in CBSE premises. As per CBSE affiliation norms no other board school can operate in CBSE premises. As per petitioner the 2 schools from other board ie ICSE and CIE are illegal school and it will attract penalty Rs 10000 per day. The state has not conducted investigation till date. The Podar International school is using CBSE word without affiliation and also have same issue ie other board schools in same premises. As per CBSE website affiliation has not been renewed of Omkar School since expiry.
